* Ey Iran was the defacto National Anthem when my family lived in Tehran during my late father’s final USAF Defense Language Instructor assignment–he specialized in Middle Eastern languages.  I learned Ey Iran to honor him and a close friend/race director (who was born in Iran) prior to her completing her 1,001st marathon!
